Ski Passes and Snow School
With the new tax credit you can give your favorite young person the lifetime gift of skiing or riding for a real deal. Thank you Mr. Prime Minister!
In an effort to promote healthy lifestyles, the Canadian Government has passed new legislation providing a tax credit based on up to $500 for children enrolled in fitness programs. Our 10 Week Snow School Programs, Race program, 8 Week Programs, Christmas and New Year 5 Day Programs qualify for this credit each year. The program is only for children 15 years of age and younger. Just include our confirmation/receipt when you file your income tax and you will receive a tax credit based on amounts paid up to $500.
Our goal is to introduce more families and friends to the pleasures of skiing and snowboarding. To help facilitate our goal, we have the "Almost Anytime Pass", in addition to our regular season passes.
Our flexible "start anytime" lift tickets are convenient to suit your family’s skiing and snowboarding schedule.
Mount Pakenham is well known for our professional Ski and Snowboard Programs. We offer lessons for every member of your family. Ski lessons begin at 3 years of age and snowboard lessons at age 6. Whether it is group lessons or private lessons, sessions are available for all levels and abilities.
Special Needs Students and ‘Inclusion’ in Group Ski and Snowboard Lessons
Although schools now routinely include students with significant behavioral or emotional problems that occasionally render them disruptive, special needs students may not do well in a group ski lesson.
Our ski and snowboard instructors do not have special training to cope with special needs students who may disrupt a group lesson.
Students with intellectual, physical, emotional or behavioral challenges requiring an instructor with special adaptive training should book private lessons with a CADS (Canadian Association of Disabled Skiers) certified instructor.
If you need to switch your child to private lessons, please speak to a reservation agent.
